6 of the best beach clubs in Bodrum: the three that closed, and the six worth the boat

Half the names on every Bodrum list have gone. Here is what replaced them, and which bay keeps which month.

Bodrum does two things exceptionally well: long days on the sand and hard nights on the dancefloor. What it does not do is keep the same names from one decade to the next. Three of the clubs on the older version of this list are gone. Sebastian’s site at Bitez now trades as Arena Beach Club after a renovation. Juju by Babylon has closed, and Babylon lists only its Istanbul room. T.A.Y. at Bardakçı cannot be confirmed to trade at all: both of its domains have lapsed.

What has survived is worth the boat. Six bays, and the months each one keeps.

Xuma Village, Yalıkavak

Xuma has held its own line for nearly thirty years. On this peninsula that is a geological span. It is not a party beach and never pretended to be: a stretch of the Küdür coastline, 6 adult-only bungalows in the trees behind it, and a kitchen that rewrites its language every season rather than reprinting the same menu.

Doors are 10:00 to 22:00, so the day ends at a civilised hour. Take the boat round from Yalıkavak and make a day of it.

Maçakızı, Türkbükü

Ayla Emiroğlu was one of the handful of people who turned Bodrum into a destination from the 1970s onward, and Maçakızı is what she built. The beach is a pier and a set of floating platforms rather than sand. That is the Türkbükü idiom, and it beats sand for the purpose.

Two kitchens run off it, Maçakızı Restaurant and CafeMed. Book the beach directly rather than through the hotel; it has its own line.

Blue Beach Club and Bar, Paradise Bay

Mandarin Oriental’s beach sits in Paradise Bay on the northern coast of the peninsula, on an estate running to 60 hectares, and it opens from April to the end of October. You eat refined Turkish cooking from a cabana or a lounger. That is the whole proposition, and it is executed properly.

For this season it has also been a fashion address: Jacquemus has taken the beach over, with a 98-square-metre boutique and its own terrace showing the Resort 2026 Plage collection until October. Go before it goes.

The Bodrum EDITION beach club, Yalıkavak

The beach club here has an infinity pool set above the Aegean, 3 kilometres from Yalıkavak Marina at the western point of the peninsula. The hotel behind it runs to 110 rooms, suites and villas and six dining and bar venues, one of which, Kitchen, holds a Michelin star.

This is the one to choose when the day is meant to become a dinner.

Moon Beach, Gökçebel

One correction worth making, because every other list still gets it wrong. Moon Beach is not at Gündoğan and it is not inside Casa Costa Hotel. It is at Gökçebel, in the Yalıkavak area, and it trades under its own name.

What it has is a white-sand cove that takes 400 people without feeling like it, hammocks, a wooden pier, 40 rooms if you want to stay, and a restaurant working international and seafood dishes. It is the family-shaped one on this list.

Bianca Beach, Gölköy

Bianca sits in Gölköy Bay on the north coast and has been there long enough that Sandbeds named it Editor’s Choice 2026 for Best Beachfront Classic. Direct beach access, Balinese beds facing the water, a Mediterranean kitchen, and music that builds through the evening and the weekend rather than starting at noon.

It runs through the summer season only, and loungers and tables want booking in the peak months.

Choose by the day you want. Paradise Bay and the EDITION for the day that turns into dinner, Maçakızı for the day you want to be seen on, Gökçebel and Gölköy for the day with children in it, and Xuma for the day you want back the way it was. Then check the month: Blue Beach shuts at the end of October, and Bianca goes with the summer.
