Have a lazy morning and fuel up for a busy day of sights with a classic German breakfast at Alpenstück Bäckerei. This bakery serves some of Berlin’s finest South German breakfast classics, with meat and cheese platters, hearty bread and fresh juice. Fresh sourdough, lye rolls and pretzels are baked daily and are famous around the city. The bakery is also popular for its unique bakes such as carrot-walnut bread.
Berlin has a large Turkish population, and although it might not be everyone’s choice for breakfast, make sure you visit Pasam Baklava, a Turkish bakery selling only baklava delicacies - always a good idea after brunch.
If you’re planning on spending the day shopping on Kurfürstendamm, take a trip to Wintergarten at the Literaturhaus. This bookshop/café is a charming place to unwind and enjoy an incredible classic brunch in the café’s courtyard. In wintertime, the café is based in the ornate mansion attached to it.
California Breakfast Slam
If it’s not eggs you’re in the mood for and fancy a classic American pancake, get yourself to California Breakfast Slam, with their incredible stacked pancakes with flavours like Rocky Road and Banana and Marshmallow Fluff.

Weekends only, head to Schneeweiß in hip Friedrichshain for very good Bavarian style brunch. Going from 10am to 3pm, the ‘Alpine Morning Pint Buffet’ takes place in an elegant atmosphere you most definitely want to be part of.
Last but not least, get yourself to coffee haven, or Distrikt Coffee in Mitte. Carefully selected local and international coffee beans will boost you up, especially if paired with a sweet little something or pretzel. The interior design is also inspiring with wooden and black steel tables that nail the post-industrial vintage look.
