Azul Tierra might just be Spain’s most spectacular interior design store. The brainchild of Tony Espuch, the brand, that has gone from strength to strength – from its foundation in Alicante, its first boutique in Barcelona and its definitive 1,200-square-metre flagship – is definitely worth a visit. Even if you are not a design buff, Azul Tierra is a must for the artistic experience and the inspirations it might bring to your future projects. Pieces include quality antiques and rare home décor items.
The freshest eyewear store in Barcelona is without doubt Les Lunettes. With two locations in the Catalan city, one is in the cool underground area of El Born, and the other in elegant and posh Eixample. The boutique spotlights a selection of the trendiest, most cutting-edge spectacles and sunglasses, ranging from well-known brands such as Céline, Oliver Peoples or Thiery Lasry, to new elite brands like Andy Wolf and Reis Reis.
Bel y Cia
Located in Passeig de Gràcia, this haberdashery boutique has been creating fine garments for those in the know since 1842. The pièce de resistance here will have to be the Teba jacket, first made by Bel in 1946 for the Count of Teba for shooting. The innovative hybrid of a shirt and jacket, updated with buttersoft cashmere-wool blends, is now better than ever and makes an absolutely unique purchase.
