After a bold refurbishment in 2007 the Unique Hotel Post in Zermatt has become a unique destination not to be missed.
The Pöschli – a nickname by which the hotel is known by its fans – has welcomed many celebrities and other discerning individuals to it doors since first opening in 1875. The building preserves elements of the original Valais-style that date back to 1772. In the recent refurbishment these traditional features have been combined with modern style with great effect. The contemporary decor in this 29 room boutique hotel draws from local tradition and materials to create an environment that is both modern and comfortable.
The hotel's three restaurants include the celebrated P.O.S.T, where the chef Jean-Daniel Bieri cooks up some extraordinary, creative dishes for the seasons and the amazing Factory, located on three floors of an 18th-century Valais-style chalet adjoining the main block. Guests can enjoy a variety of nightlife with two discotheques, the Pink Live Music Bar – which during the winter hosts the best live music concerts in town – and the neo-colonial Papa Caesar Lounge.
The hotel also includes a small but perfectly formed wellness centre.
