Among gluten-free bread and pasta, fresh truffles from Piemonte – sourced by the owner Manuele’s family with a 24-hour turnaround from the soil to the restaurant – can be found at this charming venue, Il Tartufo. It was newly reformed in 2016 to incorporate a private dining space that became The Drawing Room and The Balcony, the latter with views over to the Church Tower. Lovely couple Hollie Shaw and Emanuele Crisci are in charge, front of house and overseeing matters in the kitchen, respectively. All set in a beautifully romantic plaza.

Hot on the heels of the success of Celicioso Madrid: Celioso Marbella, Marbella’s first gluten-free restaurant proper. Situated by the Roman Bridge, Celicioso has a range of delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, served from 10am to 12am daily. For guests wishing to dine in, there is also a take-away delivery service available. Gluten-free cocktails in the evening.

This 50-year old restaurant doesn’t market itself as a gluten-free haunt as such but its emphasis on fish makes it a safe bet for those trying to dodge the grain.  North and southern-Spanish fish and shellfish share the menu here at award-winning owner Santiago Domínguez’s joint. The wine cellar is considered to be one of the best in Spain. Overall, a Marbella mainstay.
