Rome's Catch of The Day Featured

Because in Rome, the sea is really just around the corner.

Il San Lorenzo

The secret of all great cooking begins with the raw materials. At Il San Lorenzo, the fish arrives fresh twice daily, either from a fishing cooperative on the island of Ponza or from the Civitavecchia fish auctions. The setting is modern, chic and welcoming, with works of art created by artists from the nearby San Lorenzo art school. Downstairs in the basement, there is a private room amidst the Ancient Roman foundations of the Theatre of Pompeii.

Assunta Madre

A historic restaurant in the heart of Rome, whose approach of delivering supreme quality has awarded the establishment with many successes, including a brand in London and beyond. A counter at the entrance displays the fish that arrives daily from Terracina. The cooking, deliberately simple, lets the taste of the sea do the charming. Assunta Madre is open every evening while lunch is only available for private events.
