A must-see, this Art Deco masterpiece is legendary. Birthplace of the bikini and glitzy social hub over 60 years ago, it was reborn in May 2014 after a stint as a derelict haven for graffiti artists. Now part of a five-star hotel, the outdoor and indoor pools have been restored to their former glory. Non-hotel guests can take a dip with the €180-day pass or by booking a €65 Healthy Lunch, which includes food and a swim (Mon-Sat 11.00am to 2.00pm) at the hotel’s Yannick Alleno restaurant. www.mltr.fr

A municipal pool with a difference, this 25m pool ‘floats’ sitting on a boat on the Seine facing Bercy. Uncovered in summer, it’s the best place to get the ‘Paris Plage’ feel when its sliding glass roof is off and you can catch the scenic Seine views. There’s also a jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, solarium, and a 50-square-metre paddling pool, as well as wi-fi and a café. www.carilis.fr

A favourite with Parisian families, the upscale Neuilly ‘Aquatic Centre’ offers three indoor pools (including one with a popular slide) as well as an outdoor pool.
