The photo shows what the new Audemars Piguet museum will look like in a few years' time. The design that the watch brand has chosen is by the BIG architecture studio (Bjarke Ingels Group, based in Copenhagen and New York), and the intriguing spiralling design beautifully embodies the brand's commitment to the natural environment, and more specifically to the Vallée de Joux landscape where it is located.

The company's museum first opened in 1992 in the original family home (the new museum will in fact be called 'Maison des Fondateurs'), and it now comprises over 1,300 timepieces spanning 250 years. From this year, work will begin on the new museum.
