Emporio Armani has presented a new collection of watches, named Meccanico, based on automatic mechanical movements. According to the brand, they are a 'perfect combination of technical innovation and timeless style.'
The four models shown below are based on the same mechanical movement, automatic with 28 rubies, a power reserve indicator, small seconds, and date shown on a small subdial. The watches undergo a 1,000-hour test to ensure precision and quality.
The Meccanico has a circular or rectangular case, and part of the movement is visible through the dial and through the sapphire caseback. The movement has areas of Côtes de Genève and circular finish.
There is no indication on where the movement was built: presumably they are assembled by Fossil (who make products for Armani Exchange, Emporio Armani, Burberry, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld and other brands), using chinese movements.
The retail price for these watches ranges from €399 to €459.
