Lewis Hamilton is the new IWC Schaffhausen brand ambassador, and he was present, with Ross Brawn, Team Principal for Mercedes AMG Petronas, at the launch of the IWC pop-up exhibition at Selfridges, London, running until 7 July 2013. IWC is now Official Engineering Partner for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

At the Selfridges exhibition, the IWC Ingenieur collection was presented, in its entirely remodelled range with many features taken from the world of Formula One, from materials to the performance ethos. Lewis Hamilton tried the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One simulator car – an experience available for visitors to the show – which provides a taste of racing. He said, “I love wristwatches, and it seems to me that those made by IWC have a lot in common with Formula One drivers: they’re unique, high-performance watches and are among the best in their field.”
