Vacheron Constantin celebrates the 100th anniversary of its Malte collection

by 11 June 2012

Vacheron Constantin, the world's oldest watch manufacturer since 1755, is celebrating the 100th birthday of its classic Malte collection with four new references. Artistic Director Christian Selmoni said, “The new Malte is a sophisticated watch with a very contemporary design and a clean dial.” Reinterpreting the original 'tonneau' (or barrel) shape of the design in 1912, the Malte Small Model, Small Seconds, Tourbillon - which is equipped with a brand new hand-wound tourbillon movement, Calibre 2795 - as well as the 100-piece Limited Edition Anniversary collection are more beautiful than ever. Selmoni also expressed that the new collection respects the manufacturer’s traditions of balance, refinement and elegance. The dainty Malte Small Model is just 28.30mm wide, and is set with 50 round-cut diamonds on the bezel.
