Ulysee Nardin stretches its sea legs

by 03 May 2012

The Marine Chronometer breaks the waves with innovation. Ulysee Nardin commemorates its 19th century marine horlogical accomplishments with a new reference, the Marine Chronometer Manufacture 1186-122. Not only does it boast a larger, 45-millimetre case and a more user-friendly crown, it also features a snow white Grand Feu enamelled dial manufactured by Donzé Cadrans. But the beauty of this Marine Chronometer watch is not just skin deep, as it is equipped with the in-house self-winding Calibre UN-118 using a revolutionary diamond-silicon alloy called DiamonSil. The new timepiece successfully combines traditional art and innovative materials. The 18-carat rose gold case reference is a limited edition of 350 pieces, while the 2-tone titanium case with gold bezel and crown, as well as an stainless steel and titanium case is unlimited.
