Rory McIlroy, Audemars Piguet Ambassador, becomes World Number 1 in Golf Ranking, Florida

At 22, Rory Mcllroy became the second youngest player in history to reach the top position. Since his maiden Major title at the US Open last June, he has continued to work his way to the World Number 1 golf ranking. On March 4th, 2012, Mcllroy won the Honda Classic in Florida with a 2-shot margin.

Two other Audemars Piguet Ambassadors joined Rory in the Top 10 of the Honda Classic; Lee Westwood finished 4th and Graeme McDowell 9th.
