Only Watch 2011 Breguet Réveil Musical timepiece

by 01 August 2011

Breguet makes not only Swiss mechanical watches, but beautiful music too! For Only Watch 2011, it has created this one-of-a-kind Classique Grande Complication, Réveil Musical – to show support for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

You can make this watch play the tune of ‘A Castle in the Sky’ on demand or at a pre-set time, thanks to a patented mechanism similar to a music box. The dial, stunningly engraved with the vivid image of a child reaching out, makes a complete rotation so that the child figure touches an outreached hand featured on the flange. The round 18-carat white gold case is finely engraved with a musical stave on the sides. For this auspicious and charitable auction, the Réveil Musical watch will be personalized with ‘pièce unique’ engraved at the back.

Breguet has once again succeeded in surprising and delighting watch enthusiasts and collectors with this poetic, meaningful watch.
