IWC, a Luxury Watches Brand That Never Sleeps

by 08 October 2010

Oliver Stone's new film "Wall Street" is proof that not only money never sleeps, neither does IWC apparently. The Swiss luxury watchmaker has landed on the wrists of both Michael Douglas, who portrays the notorious Gordon Gekko, and Shia LaBeouf, in the role of Jacob Moore. Educated, driven, intelligent, Jacob's a great ambassador of the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar. On the big screen, its beautiful cobalt blue dial simply shines through! But this timepiece is not just about looks, as it boasts a wealth of functions: perpetual calendar, perpetual moon phase, hemisphere lunar display, four-digit year display, water resistance of up to three bar, and a whopping seven-day power reserve.

Gekko Gordon's role doesn't pale in comparison, as he sports the equally impressive Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus in rose gold. This is a limited edition with only 1000 pieces. Besides the same functions as the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, what Michel Douglas wore also had stopwatch function, small hacking seconds, and special back engraving. The beautiful tonneau shape and convex sapphire glass are unique. This Da Vinci watch is a power player both on and off screen.
