Luxury cellphone manufacturer Vertu have moved forward in their field, and at a special event last night, Vertu unveiled the latest addition to their family of smartphones. This model is a touchscreen model of the Constellation, in which impeccable craftsmanship meets latest technology. The plus factor in its previous models is Vertu Concierge, which provides tailored responses to customer demands, and in this model, Vertu's exclusive information services are made available by means of carefully designed apps, such as the City Brief by Vertu. It could prove to be the ideal combination: a quality touchscreen handset with unparalleled customer services.

Vertu Concierge is accessed by means of a dedicated key, which, when pressed, displays options for the Concierge service or Vertu Technical Assistance. The user can decide whether to use email or voice call for service. Vertu's lifestyle experts are based in cities throughout the world, and they provide assistance 24 hours a day in eight languages. Just one example: wine assistance and service, provided by Berry Brothers & Rudd, UK-based wines and spirits merchant, who act as a Sommelier at the touch of a button, as well as providing first refusal on unique collectable products such as important bottles from all over the world.

These premier services are accessed through a piece of great technology. The unit is a quad band GSM, penta band WCDMA, with HSDPA coverage. With high-speed WLAN, the unit ensures that the user is connected wherever he or she is. It has a 3.5" high-contrast AMOLED display, and it has an audio-video socket for improved viewing of multimedia material. It also includes Bluetooth with A2DP, FM radio, free global maps and navigation. The software includes the possibility of opening business files in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It offers blogging, social networking, web browsing, and photo and video editing.

Each Constellation is hand-made by a single craftsman, using state-of-the-art technology. This new model is available in several variants: satin brown, polished black or pink, black or white alligator (with or without diamonds) and red gold with mixed metals. Prices start at €4,400 for the satin brown model, reaching €10,900 for the red gold mixed metals model.
