Maiden Voyage for 'Brilliance of the Seas' Featured

Offshore entertainment has never been so luxurious
by 06 April 2010

The Royal Caribbean’s ‘Radiance’ ship, the Brilliance of the Seas arrived in Dubai in January to begin its inaugural Arabian cruise. The colossal, state of the art cruiseliner is an incredible 293 meters long, weighs over 90,000 tons and travels at 24 knots. As one of the most elegant ships in the world, it features outside cabins, ocean-facing glass elevators and a ten-storey glass Centrum, which offer the most spectacular views of the passing shoreline and sea, and put you at virtually no risk of cabin fever. Embarking from Dubai, the 2,501-person capacity ship will sail to Muscat, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, Mina Sulman and Bahrain before returning to its home port after seven days.

Aboard the ship, you are promised the full contrast of experiences from sun and sea to city life and culture in the most luxurious setting. It is the first ship of its kind to install a rock wall onboard for more adventurous passengers, as well as being the first to have a surf simulator, full-sized ice rink and promenade. And if that isn’t enough to keep you occupied between ports, there is a wellness program featuring spa treatments, nutritious dining and workouts. With a packed schedule of entertainment from ice shows to musicals, bars, nightclubs, a casino, gourmet restaurants and shopping, you may never want to feel terra firma again.

For those who miss the final cruise dates in March, the Brilliance of the Seas will be returning to the Middle East in January 2011 with nine roundtrip sailings. New trips will include two 12-night Dubai and India roundtrip voyages which will see you arriving at Mumbai, Goa and Cochin.
