Festival Waterfront Centre, located in the heart of Dubai Festival City, is a magnificent retail venue offering an excellent selection of restaurants and cafés. As you enter Waterfront Centre, you are immediately entranced by the use of light, water features, colour and space. The long wide corridors invite you to walk idly by, savouring the extensive array of international fashion boutiques, famous brands and an eclectic variety of shops and services.

The Centre’s stunning architectural environment and location is the inspiration for many brands to open their first shops in Dubai, including: Danier, Guru, JM Weston, Lancel, Lamarthe, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marccain, and Paul Frank. Waterfront Centre features 550 shops, including the largest Marks & Spencer store outside the UK. Brands such as Missoni, Carolina Herrera, Pal Zileri, Tommy Hilfiger and Kenzo are among the more upscale options.

Canal Walk, running the length of the Waterfront Centre, provides al fresco waterside dining along two levels of terraced walkway - a welcome escape in this city that does not offer much in the way of pleasant pedestrian paths. From Canal Walk you can take a ride on an Abra, a traditional Arabic river boat, which will transport you along the length of the canal.

Waterfront Centre is part of the Festival City mega-project, a US $5 billion mixed-use development on the Dubai Creek which opened in 2007. Construction of the 1600-acre “citywithin-a-city” began in 2003 and is now mostly complete. Festival City is also home to the recently opened Four Seasons Golf Club and 18-hole championship golf course. Festival Promeby nade with its views over a marina and the Dubai Creek links Festival City’s InterContinental and Crowne Plaza hotels. When complete, Festival City will boast no less than six luxury hotels including the Dubai debuts of the prestigious hotel brands: W Hotel opening later this year, and Four Seasons Hotel due in 2010. The Mediterranean-inspired Festival Marina, the luxury boating facility at the heart of Festival City, has already rapidly become a picturesque yachting destination and berth for luxury vessels on its a superb Creekside setting.
