Charm your beloved on Valentine's Day at Hugo's, Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui

Exquisite cuisine, romantic ambience and live music are all there at Hugo’s for couples to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Chef Richard Sawyer is delighted to present a 5-course set dinner from 12 to 14 February priced at HK$1,888 for 2 persons, inclusive of 2 glasses of Champagne.

Start the candle-lit dinner with Foie Gras Ballotine as the appetiser. This delicacy is a tantalising combination of cooked French duck liver with green peppercorns, a green bean salad and caramelised walnuts presented with freshly toasted brioche. This flavourful course is definitely an impressive start to the meal.

Subsequent to the tasteful ballotine, Chef Richard is glad to introduce Braised Oxtail Ravioli with Sauteed Wild Mushrooms, Snails and Potato Galette. The ravioli, filled with slowly braised oxtail and mixed herbs, is thoroughly-flavoured with red wine sauce, while the crispy baked potato galette also adds a wonderful twist to the taste and texture of this course.

Pan-fried Scallops with Oyster Beignet and Gribiche Dressing is another impressive delicacy of the menu. The fresh scallops are lightly cooked to retain its freshness, while the deep-fried oyster in the crispy batter is so juicy and soft, leaving your taste buds tickled. This course is also complemented with fresh asparagus and the Gribiche dressing, a Mayonnaise-style sauce made with capers, shallots, gherkins, herbs and hard-boiled eggs, contributing to the distinctive flavours of the dish.

For the main course, Chef Richard specially presents the Sauteed Boston Lobster with Truffle Velouteto surprise patrons’ palates. The Boston lobster is skillfully prepared in a unique style, firstly sautéed, then nestled on a bed of celeriac puree, topped with young carrots, leeks, broad beans and asparagus. Seasoned by a light Champagne sauce with truffle butter, the dish gives you a smooth and creamy sensation as well as rich flavours.

A must-have course in any romantic Valentine’s meal is a “sweetie”. Chef Richard brings you Grand Marnier Chocolate Fondue with Seasonal Mixed Fruits and Petit Fours, an undeniably memorable dessert. Dipping the assorted seasonal fruits and sweet home-made pastries in the hot, Grand Marnier flavoured dark chocolate is such an extraordinary pleasure, especially when you share it with your beloved one.

An extensive wine selection is also available for patrons to pair up with the delicacies on Valentine’s Day.
