Powder Hill - new fine jewellery company
Powder Hill is a new company that was launched yesterday in London by contemporary jeweller Nicola Pulvertaft. Its name is actually based on Nicola's surname: Pulvertaft has Viking roots, and it means 'powder hill' in Old English.
Powder Hill has been launched with a capsule collection, a limited edition of twenty pieces of jewellery with a very English twist. Its principal themes are wildlife, Victorian decoration and country field sports. The pieces are all designed and hand crafted by Nicola in her workshop in Hatton Garden, London. They are made in 18 carat gold, rose-cut diamonds and precious stones.
Powder Hill jewellery will be exhibited at some country events in the UK, including Polo at Hurlingham, the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup at Cowdray Park (12 July and 15 July 2012) and The Game Fair at Belvoir Castle (20-22 July 2012).
You can see the collection online at www.powderhill.com

The Wolf Cufflinks above were inspired by Victorian hunting buttons, antique shotguns and the wolves that once roamed England’s countryside. The cufflinks are made in 14 carat white or yellow gold with ice-blue aquamarines for eyes, and white sapphires set in the signature Powder Hill ‘double-barrelled’ T bar.
