Justerini & Brooks open their first office in Hong Kong
Justerini & Brooks, one of the world’s oldest and respected wine merchants, has opened an office in Hong Kong. Despite having established a global private client base, this is the first office Justerini & Brooks Wine Merchants have opened outside of the UK in the 263 years since they were founded in 1749.
Hew Blair, Justerini & Brooks’ Chairman said: “This is a very exciting move for us. J&B has an extremely long standing relationship with Hong Kong. In fact, we first started to service customers here via sales trips as far back as 1976, so it’s wonderful to now be even closer to our many clients in Asia.”
The celebration took place on 5 March 2012. Located in the famous Centrium building, in the Central district of the city, the opening was officially marked with a launch party at Dragon-I; one of Hong Kong’s most fashionable nightspots. The event was attended by the Hong Kong glitterati; with the likes of James Suckling, the famed American wine critic flying in specially.
Guests were welcomed with a glass of Sarcey, Justerini & Brooks’ Private Cuvée Champagne. Chassagne Montrachet from Bachelet Monnot and Etna Rosso from Sicily’s Tenuta delle Terre Nere were amongst the wines poured, both of which are available exclusively from Justerini & Brooks.
The Justerini & Brooks office will be a valuable addition to the Hong Kong wine scene, offering customers one of the broadest portfolios of fine wine in the industry, with over 3000 different wines in stock.
