This hand-made, one-off masterpiece was exhibited at the Wallpaper Handmade Exhibition during the Milan Furniture Show, from 9 to 13 April 2013. The jewellery box is on a scale that reflects the consistent brilliance of the marque, and its insistence on creating rare, unique and beautiful objects.
It was created by American industrial artist Stephen Burks, who hand-carved it from a single piece of transparent quartz. He retained some of the Harry Winston hallmarks, such as the emerald-cut silhouette that can be seen in the shape of the box, and of the platinum clasp.
The object took months of work to create, and this is reflected in the price, around €150,000.
