Oh Givenchy, how you make us dream. Each season is a new adventure with Riccardo Tisci, and this time it was back to the roots, but also a look to the future. The Givenchy woman this season is light, a beautiful tribute to the founder of the house, Hubert de Givenchy. Nodding to the Sixties styles of the house while also taking in futuristic inspirations, Tisci created a collection for Spring that is a complete depart from his typical dark, Gothic styles. Organza ruffles in baby blue, crisp white, and gray gave the collection a feminine, minimalistic feeling, but the accessories in gold, silver and Lucite kept the collection edgy, and futuristic. The shapes were very geometric and architectural, with skirts cut crisply, sheer blouses perfectly tailored yet flowing, and volume emphasis on the top.
