Philips have confirmed their place at this year’s Harper’s Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion in association with The Dubai Mall, with Andy Uffels, their Haircare Artistic Director and international fashion catwalk stylist visiting Dubai to showcase this season’s catwalk styles.

Philips Consumer Lifestyle’s Marketing Director, Vincenzo Ventricelli said; ‘We are very pleased to be associated with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, an icon of luxury in the region and its Fortnight of Fashion, the region’s only luxury fashion shopping event which takes place in the region’s fashion shopping destination, The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping mall. As the official hair tools partner Harper’s Bazaar Arabia readers will be treated to the latest hair trends for Autumn/Winter 2010 by our Haircare Artistic Director and celebrated International Session Stylist, Andy Uffels who’ll take time-out of his busy international fashion catwalk schedule in Paris and Milan to be here with us. Andy will explain and show how Philips haircare appliances can be used to create the key styles,’ added Ventricelli.

'I am very much looking forward to coming again to Dubai. For me, the event is a gateway not only to one of the world's most stylish, elegant & influential women, but an economy that has one of the highest per-capita spends on beauty products and services anywhere in the world’, commented Andy Uffels, celebrated International Session Stylist and Philips Haircare Artistic Director (hree times Dutch Hairdresser of the Year, Press Stylist of the Year, European Champion, World Champion, Hall of Fame award and World Master of the Craft).

'This season’s catwalks were alive with bouncy, shiny, healthy hair and this new pared down approach to fashion hair got me thinking’, said Andy. ‘After all, healthy hair is the basis of a great hairstyle. With this in mind, in this year’s Harper’s Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion, I will show women in the Middle East how to look after their prize asset as well as style it. If they understand and care for their hair, they’ll find it even easier to create the look they want day after day, after day'.

Andy concludes: 'Good hair days require good styling tools and that’s why I love representing and working with Philips Haircare. Every woman deserves to feel good and look good, and no matter how busy her lifestyle is, with the right tools and a little know-how, she can make everyday a great hair day thanks to Philips haircare appliances!'
