Brioni is launching its products in the Central American market with the opening of a single-brand boutique in Mexico City.
The boutique is in Avenida Presidente Masaryk, in the most exclusive area of the metropolis. It extends over 450 m² on two floors and it is designed in compliance with the Brioni concept, with its intelligent and sophisticated use of enamelling, bronze and parchment, a design specification compiled by a team of in-house architects.
The store presents both men’s and women’s collections.
The opening ceremony included a cocktail party in the store itself, at which many guests and local personalities took part, in the company of Andrea Perrone – President and CEO of the Brioni Group.
Andrea Perrone said, “We are very satisfied and positive. The opening of this store represents a new challenge, and it is a sign of the Group’s desire to develop the brand in this market.”
The Mexico City opening follows other recent new boutiques in Barcelona, Beijing and Shanghai, and it precedes the next important event in Tokyo, where a new and exclusive boutique will open in mid-June.
Brioni was founded in Rome in 1945 and immediately developed strong international appeal. The President and CEO is Andrea Perrone, grandson of Gaetano Savini, one of the original founders together with Nazareno Fonticoli. Brioni has 68 boutiques around the world, and 400 wholesale outlets.
In 2007 Brioni was named the most prestigious men’s fashion brand in the United States, according to an independent survey conducted by the Luxury Institute of New York. In 2010 the marque celebrates its 65th anniversary.
