Louise Kennedy will be continuing The Dorchester’s fashion tea series and holding a one-off Fashion Show at The Promenade during Afternoon Tea on 2nd June.
Showing on the day, Louise Kennedy’s Summer collection includes an array of exquisite pieces inspired by the most precious and feminine of all jewels, the pearl. The Dorchester is the perfect setting for internationally renowned Irish fashion designer Louise Kennedy, who has become synonymous with modern sophistication, elegant design and luxurious fabrics. With superior craftsmanship and unprecedented passion and dedication, Louise has developed an international reputation for her understated refined style.
Alongside a glass of Champagne, delicious savoury finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a selection of delicate pastries, guests will also be given a goodie bag including a selection of treats and a special discount card entitling the holder to a 15% discount on purchases made between June 2nd and July 2nd at the Louise Kennedy flagship store on 9, West Halkin Street.
The Dorchester’s rituals are rooted in British custom with a contemporary edge. While the fashion for holding afternoon tea is widely attributed to The Duchess of Bedford in 1830, nowhere has it become more of a current classic than at The Dorchester where tea has been served in The Promenade since 1931 when the hotel first opened and still wins awards today. Stretching the length of Nelson’s Column and often referred to as the ‘Living Room of Mayfair’, as The Promenade is the buzzing heart of the hotel where fresh flowers surround plush couches with silk pillows as soft as marshmallows.
