The Luciano Soprani show at Fiera Milano, on 25 February 2010, presented the brand's classic, timeless elegance in fashion design based on generous amounts of superb-quality fabrics generating loose lines and almost oversize shapes. Soft-silhouette trench coats, and artful trompe l'oeil effects. Touches that recall the season's current fashion trends based on military suggestions are softened by the giant check patterns, while colours, sometimes soft beige and earth tones, include spectacular vermilion red and electric blue. Features are borrowed from male fashion, such as double-breasted blazers, long raincoats, long waistcoat-type garments, and jackets worn over gowns for the evening.
The detailing includes touches of embroidery, sequin mosaics on a shoulder or sleeve, gloves with inlaid panels of leather and Mondrian colours, male-look low shoes, and high boots with touches of colour emerging from the interior. Soles are flat. The show was given drama and mystery by the model styling, with slightly wavy blonde hair, and giant shades. Belts often provided a visual accent cadencing the overall look.
