Prada reinvents the Derbies

Prada's innovative move: made to measure footwear in a range of 32 exciting colours

by 30 September 2014

Italian fashion house of Prada has reinvented its famous coloured-sole Derbies, which now come made to measure, in a range of 32 exciting colours ranging from a leafy green, to cobalt blue and striking red, to golden yellow, chic black and shimmering gold.

We first saw the two-tone, rubber-soled Derbies on the runway back in 2010, when Miuccia Prada introduced the world to an electrifying and extremely modern collection for Prada Spring/Summer 2011.

Now, these shoes have come back to life, this time, made-to-measure exclusively at the Rue du Fauborg Saint Honore store in October and at the Printemps and Galeries Lafayette in November. Prada footwear lovers also have the option of personalising the sole of the shoes with bronze initials beneath the house logo.

Since you might have to wait at least a month for your very own pair, make sure you get down to rue Saint-Honoré to order your bespoke Derbies asap and get a step ahead of the crowds this season.

The Made-to-measure service is available for one month only.
