Louis Vuitton’s new autumn Crocodile Bag sells for $54,500

Making a splurge this autumn

by 27 August 2014

French label Louis Vuitton’s latest bag which made its public debut in the brand’s autumn 2014 runway show, will certainly have eyelids battering as it is retailing for a staggering $54,500. It’s called the Louis Vuitton Crocodile Lady Bag, aesthetically designed by creative designer Nicholas Ghesquiere.

There’s no word on how many of these bags will be designed, but it’s likely to be an extremely limited piece.

The creation is opulently enveloped in exotic crocodile skin. The crocodiles are treated and bred at a farm solely for this purpose.

The tote comes in a dark-toned palate, in two finishes – black and a rich cognac brown and measures over a foot. Worth noting is the lack of its signature LV monogram - perhaps not for every socialite interested in adding a Louis Vuitton to her designer collection.
