Salvatore Ferragamo introduces the Buckle Collection

A profound dialogue between tradition and the demands of the present

by 31 March 2014

Salvatore Ferragamo has launched a special project that features eyewear and timepieces.

The collection, known as the Ferragamo Buckle Collection is a modern reinterpretation of the concept of the buckle taken from its accessories collections, highlighting not only its aesthetic role but its functional importance and cutting-edge technology.

The project features an elegant combination of shapes and materials as well as attention to detail. The case of these elegant timepieces reflects the shape of the buckle - 37 mm in diametre, and comes in steel or gold IP, and stands out for its distinctive cloche shape. The bezel comes in metal or black, beige or tortoiseshell-effect acetate, to match the frames of the glasses, while the dial is featured in champagne, silver, dark brown or black.

The timepieces are equipped with a Swiss-Made quartz movement, and beautifully enhanced by the intricate guilloché finishing and the diamond-embedded numbers on the flange. The asymmetrical lugs support the vegetable-tanned calfskin strap, which comes in 6 different colours: tobacco, beige, orange, brown, fuchsia and black with contrasting top-stitching.

The Buckle Collection sunglasses are reinvented with the front in the shape of a buckle. The range is available in four stylish colours - black and gold, light havana and palladium, dark havana and gold, ivory and gold.

The Ferragamo Buckle Collection will be on sale at Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques and authorised retailers worldwide from May 2014.
