Coincidentally, the most important Chinese holiday and the day dedicated to love all of the world coincide this year on 14th February. In actual fact, both can be thought of as a celebration of love, because Chinese New Year is a time at which people gather in the warmth of the family.
In celebration of the two holidays, the award-winning Chef at the Harbour Plaza 8 Degree hotel, Hong Kong, Liu has prepared symbolic dishes of luck and wealth including “8 Degrees Lucky Packet”, “8 Degrees Poon Choy”, “Braised Stuffed Marrow Melon with Scallop and Conpoy” and “Wok-fried King Crabs with Spicy Garlic and Chili” for Chinese New Year; and a tempting heart shaped “Chocolate and Strawberry Rose Cake” for Valentine’s Day.
Each diner will receive a “Baked Beef Tenderloin with Goose Liver”, adults a glass of sparkling wine and every lady a rose during dinner on 13th and 14th February.
