Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day at Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees, Hong Kong

by 12 January 2010

Coincidentally, the most important Chinese holiday and the day dedicated to love all of the world coincide this year on 14th February. In actual fact, both can be thought of as a celebration of love, because Chinese New Year is a time at which people gather in the warmth of the family.

In celebration of the two holidays, the award-winning Chef at the Harbour Plaza 8 Degree hotel, Hong Kong, Liu has prepared symbolic dishes of luck and wealth including “8 Degrees Lucky Packet”, “8 Degrees Poon Choy”, “Braised Stuffed Marrow Melon with Scallop and Conpoy” and “Wok-fried King Crabs with Spicy Garlic and Chili” for Chinese New Year; and a tempting heart shaped “Chocolate and Strawberry Rose Cake” for Valentine’s Day.

Each diner will receive a “Baked Beef Tenderloin with Goose Liver”, adults a glass of sparkling wine and every lady a rose during dinner on 13th and 14th February. We welcome food lovers to celebrate with us indoors at our intimate G/F Café 8 Degrees – at HK$398 for dinner, HK$298 for lunch; outdoors surrounded by smoky BBQ aroma and lush landscaping under the twinkling sky at 2/F Garden Terrace – at HK$298; to enjoy a romantic in-room dining or 1/F Salon – from HK$468 for 2 to dine like Kings and Queens under crystal lighting and gentle music.
