The undisputed king of prints and patterns, Dries Van Noten presented a retro-inspired collection today (26 September 2012), full of poetically matched prints, mid length skirts, metallic accents and silk kimonos. From plaid printed shirts paired with a textured sequin pencil skirt, to a matching printed tunic and pants set, the collection was defined by Van Noten’s talent for combining textures and colours to create an effortlessly chic look. Flowing silk dresses dotted with florals, ankle-length pants and modest pointed pumps created a sophisticated, easy-to-wear collection. Femininity is key for Dries Van Noten this season, seen in the relaxed silhouettes, airy colour palette and statement prints.
