NEW YORK - Michael Kors spring/summer 2013 was a tribute to prepster prim. Going for a reduced colour palette of fire engine red, emerald green, white, black, sky blue, yellow and your occasional shot of gold, Kors delivered us with a straightforward set of very wearable smart clothes and accessories. Starting out with stripes, he soon transitioned into solid-coloured frocks and coats with matching sunglasses, houndstooth coats, graphic printed satin trousers and basic black evening gowns.

As always Kors mixed his menswear into the show, something he recently told us he loves doing to create a new dynamic on the runway. Certain looks had a very Mod 'Mad Men'-esque feel to them, a far cry from his Afriluxe collection of sarongs and safari gear from last summer.
