Valentino: Haute Couture Fall 2012 Featured

Take a look at these darkly romantic gowns in motion
by 05 July 2012

PARIS - Dramatic nineteenth century ball gowns were the premise of the latest Valentino Haute Couture collection for Fall 2012. If the designs and complicated fabric choices are any indication - the confidence of Creative duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli is most definitely on the rise. Piccioli coined their new collection "Sensually severe regal beauty."

The maison's classic red was there, but there was also rose, black and much more dark royal blue, which we have seen the twosome favour on their catwalks. From sweeping lace to delicate crepe and chiffon, it was a play on lady-meets-mistress with sheer floorlength gowns with peekaboo navy shorts to yellow brocade outfits with matching shoes and cashmere flower appliqué that pumped the clothes up with that quintessential luxe factor.
