Brand highlights
Ermenegildo Zegna is a brand whose remarkable products - supreme quality, classical and restrained style - reflect a remarkable history. It is a family-controlled company, with Gildo Zegna as CEO, Paolo Zegna chairman, and Anna (Image, President of the Zegna Foundation), Benedetta (Talent Manager), Laura (Oasi Zegna), and Renata (director). The marque's men's fashion products are based on finest natural, sustainable and ecological fibres, such as wool, mohair, cashmere, alpaca and vicuna. Styles range from the classic Ermenegildo ranges to the made-to-measure service Ermenegildo Su Misura, and more informal lines, such as Zegna Sport, with high-tech and innovative garments, and the trend brand Z Zegna. Though predominantly a men's fashion brand, the group also includes Agnona, a label for women's fashion wear founded by Francesco Ilorini Mo in 1953, and acquired by the Zegna group in 1999.

History
Ermenegildo Zegna's pioneering concept in 1910 was to manufacture textiles at a level of quality higher than British fabrics which were at that time amongst the finest in the world. He also had the idea of identifying the textiles that he produced by weaving the name Ermenegildo Zegna into the selvage. Ermenegildo's sons Aldo and Angelo modernized production, and diversified, introducing garment production in 1968, and the "Su Misura" (made-to-measure) service in 1972. The next generation of the dynasty, Gildo and Paolo (now Managing Director and CEO), brought the company to its present-day status as a world-leading luxury brand, with 555 stores in 86 countries, and 7,000 employees.

The story of this family enterprise began in the small northern Italian village of Trivero. From the very beginning the primary objective and focus was quality, and this has remained the strength of this brand over the generations, building the name that still today is synonymous with excellence and sophistication.

Ermenegildo Zegna steadily expanded over the years to grow from a wool mill selling fine fabrics to becoming the world-renowned enterprise we know today. The generation following Ermenegildo saw the start of Ermenegildo Zegna ready-to-wear collections and made-to-measure service, as well as the first store openings in Milan and Paris.

Today the company is led by the fourth generation of the family, which has accelerated Zegna’s expansion and created a global luxury brand through product diversification, involving multi-brand strategies and licensing. The Ermenegildo Zegna Group offers a range of lines and products providing a complete lifestyle wardrobe for men. This ranges from its highest end “Couture,” offering Zegna’s finest tailoring, to its “Su Misura” exclusive custom-tailored service, including “Sartoria” sophisticated business wardrobe, “Upper Casual,” chic leisure wear, “Z Zegna,” a fashion-forward modern collection, and finally the “Zegna Sport” collection focusing on design and performance. Alongside the clothing lines, Zegna also presents an ample selection of accessories including luxurious luggage, small leather accessories and footwear, fragrances, contemporary eyewear, underwear and home wear.

Ermenegildo Zegna’s visionary success also goes beyond the world of fabrics and attire, as he had also believed that the community and environment’s wellbeing were crucial factors to a successful product. This vision was preserved over the generations and led to the creation of philanthropic projects. One of these is Oasi Zegna, which is a nature reserve near Trivero, as well as Italy’s first example of environmental patronage, encouraging contact with nature and promoting environmental education. The Zegna Foundation, which was founded in the year 2000, is responsible for a wide range of educational, human welfare and environmental projects in Italy and around the world.
