Fashion Show Review of the new women's collection
by 30 September 2011

Gianfranco Ferré was known as the architect of fashion in his lifetime, creating structured and dimensional pieces for his eponymous label that were characterised for their sophistication and penchant for black and white. This is the first women’s collection designed by brand new Creative Directors Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi. The duo seems to have a firm grasp on the style principles left to them by Ferré’s design legacy.

The styles were overwhelmingly belted black and white looks– with the spontaneous bursts of all fucshia or violet dresses to infuse the collection with a bit of colour. The precise cuts of jacket and skirt/trouser sets are sure to attract women looking for chic officewear. We were surprised to see feathered looks that were more couture in nature than the rest of the collection. Overall a very sensible first attempt by the new twosome, we’re interested to see what the future holds.
