Furla handbags never cease to entice us with their mix of lovely feminine with uber-utilitarian design. Not every handbag designer is able to unite style with practicality, but we have continued to see just this from the Italian vanguard. Furla has swept the global market by storm and Italians are no longer the only ones privy to its must-have accessories. This season the brand renews their creative collaboration with awarded designer and artist Sissi who has dreamt up a world of fantastical handbags, some of which were unique art pieces designed solely for the presentation.
Furla’s signature Piper bag with its smooth calf leather façade, button closure and adjustable strap comes back this season in new materials like reptile skin and straw. The colours are inspired by the physical Italian landscape from blacks and pebble hues to warm Earth tones like honey, red and yellow and bright blues reflecting the sea and sky.
I Want Candy
The scene stealer this season is without a doubt the transparent, tubular Candy bag designed in numerous ways from glittering candy floss blue and pink to solid black rubber and ultra light aluminum. We eyed a feathered Candy bag number done in bright blue ostrich feathers – definitely a conversation piece!
