Celebrating 100 years of experience in style!
by 17 January 2011

Paying homage to Trussardi’s 100 years of experience in leather making, this season, creative director Milan Vukmirovic has presented a collection made exclusively of leather. This wardrobe represents the true essence of the Trussardi label honouring its history and continuing the newer tradition of providing stylish must-have pieces for men where the quality is unparalleled.

Many of the popular pieces from last season have returned in leather form for this season’s collection, not only making the clothes more appealing but catering for the colder climate. The overall collection is extremely current with a hint of eighties, particularly the biker black leather pieces accessorized with zips, belts and buckles. It is truly astonishing to realize just how much skill has gone into respecting the ‘no fabric’ challenge, all the way down to casual sweatshirts and sophisticated dress shirts. The collection is something that has to be felt to be believed!

In saying this, there is no lack of diversity in the range with all leather being treated to achieve different looks. A couple of impressive standouts? Deerskin jackets with a zigzag pattern, a lamb poncho with shaker knit ribs and an oversized camouflage windbreaker in printed leather so light, so striking.

This season's accessories, just as distinct, include a new motif unique to this collection and are no exception to the quality range of briefcases, messenger bags and shopping totes Trussardi is known for producing.

The materials, attention to detail and extraordinary expertise involved in bringing this collection together not only successfully celebrates the past but has defined a new direction for Trussardi 1911 in seasons to come.
