We’ve seen many designers this season diving back into their own archives for a little inspiration. It’s no wonder, though, especially considering the popularity of 1950s and 1970s fashions. Valextra has done a bit of diving itself, re-invoking a bit of its own 1950s design in a charming new collection of handbags. The B-Cube collection is a very modern interpretation of the iconic Secchiello model, and features a vintage clasp closure. The B-Cube comes in three sizes: small with top handle, medium shoulder bag, and the maxi weekender.
The B-Cube bag is presented in a variety of styles. It is part of the new Capri collection, a line of bicolored, intertwined jute bags glazed with matte resin and trimmed in new vegetal leather. The Capri bag is also available in the complete range of Caju styles. The bag is also available in ‘techno’ leather. With a rubbery feel and look, ‘techno’ leather is water and scratch resistant, and available in the signature pergamena white or navy blue.
Probably the most exciting additions to the Valextra line are the new iPad covers. Stylish and chic, the iPad covers are available in a city version of soft calfskin or ‘techno’ leather, or a summer version that is part of the Capri line.
