The magical story of this family enterprise began in the small northern Italian village of Trivero, where a young Ermenegildo Zegna who imported English technological innovation to advance Italian fabric craftsmanship laid the foundations of what would grow to be one of Italy’s most famous and dynamic businesses. From the very beginning the primary objective and focus was quality and this has remained the strength of this brand over the generations, building the name that we today still know to be synonymous with excellence and sophistication.

Ermenegildo Zegna steadily expanded over the years to grow from a wool mill selling fine fabrics to becoming the world-renowned enterprise we know today. The generation following Ermenegildo saw the start of Ermenegildo Zegna ready-to-wear collections and made-to-measure service, as well as the first store openings in Milan and Paris.
Today the company is still led by the descendants of the Zegna family: Ermenegildo as CEO, Paolo as chairman, Anna as the image director and president of the Zegna Foundation, Benedetta as the talent manager, Laura as the head of the Oasi Zegna and Renata as a director on the board. This fourth generation accelerated Zegna’s expansion and created a global luxury brand through product diversification, which involves multi-brand strategies and licensing. Also focusing on retailing, and pioneering early entry into emerging luxury markets, Ermenegildo Zegna’s points of sale have progressively grown, reaching a present total of 550, spread over 86 countries.

The Ermenegildo Zegna Group offers a complete range of lines and products providing a complete lifestyle wardrobe for a modern man. This ranges from its highest end “Couture,” offering Zegna’s finest tailoring, to its “Su Misura” exclusive custom-tailored service, including “Sartoria” sophisticated business wardrobe, “Upper Casual,” chic leisure wear, “Z Zegna,” a fashion-forward modern collection, and finally the “Zegna Sport” collection focusing on design and performance. Ermenegildo Zegna’s visionary success also goes beyond the world of fabrics and attire as he had also believed that the community and environment’s wellbeing were crucial factors to a successful product. One of these is Oasi Zegna, which is a nature reserve near Trivero, as well as Italy’s first example of environmental patronage, encouraging contact with nature and promoting environmental education. The Zegna Foundation, which was founded in the year 2000, is responsible for a wide range of educational, human welfare and environmental projects in Italy and around the world.

Ermenegildo Zegna, true to its pioneering nature, was the first world luxury brand to enter the Turkish market with the opening of its Istanbul store in 1991. Today, the brand has two stores in the city and is also present in Beymen stores around the country.
