The Burberry collection by Christopher Bailey, presented at Milan Men’s Fashion Week, shows the influence of Burberry’s extensive heritage of military-inspired design. Bailey has succeeded in mixing decades effortlessly, using modern fabrics. Weatherproof wool felt coats cinched with chunky belts, leather and shearling aviator jackets, and gabardine trenches. The colour palette ranges from black to shades of grey, with natural white, khaki, moss green and mustard. The collection also includes a wide range of accessories, with bags in leather and delavé canvas, and belts in woven canvas. This modern, attractive and sporty collection has an aviator look, in part due to the leather boots and the generously-cut collars. It will without doubt be a must-have for autumn-winter 2010-2011.
