NEW YORK - Proenza Schouler spring/summer 2013 is a studied look at leather - cut, sliced, patched, mixed and perforated. Design duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez seem to be marking a point of maturity, progressing from that cool new NYC brand into a full fledge hot ticket ready-to-wear label. It comes at an opportune time now that the twosome have just opened their first ever boutique in New York. The new collection features a wealth of oversized leather jackets, diagonal cuts, garments composed of various stripped materials and an abundance of gladiator style peep-toe boots. If one looked close enough at some of the strips, you could make out the trace of photo prints such as crowd scenes.
