Fendi - the Baguette is back

Before Longchamp's Le Pliage and Stella McCartney's Falabellas swept the market, Fendi's baguette was the original 'it bag' in town. Created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997, its popularity and commercial success famously launched a bidding war for the luxury Roman fashion house which today is owned entirely by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

The baguette is now back in the spotlight with the release of a staggeringly-long 345-page book dedicated to the arm candy and its history - we're betting most of these pages will be dedicated to glossy pics as opposed to text interviews with the bag on it's life story... Coinciding with the book's release, Fendi will be selling six limited edition baguette bags in its worldwide boutiques with special in-store events also planned.
