On the heels of Mulberry announcing its new 'Del Rey' handbag, customer demand has been so high that the planned release has been pushed up. The bag is named for singer Lana Del Rey, a breakout star who has been in the music scene spotlight for just under a year.

Originally scheduled to hit boutiques this fall, limited amounts of the bags are now available at Mulberry boutiques in London and New York. Del Rey has been a major frontrunner for the brand, sitting in the front row at their recent show and performing at a special dinner hosted in London. When asked about having a Mulberry bag named after her, the songstress gushed, “I love the design, a perfect mix between old school Hollywood and contemporary style. It’s an honour that such a classic and prestigious brand would name a bag after me.”

This isn't the first time Mulberry has dedicated a handbag to a celebrity, their bestseller Alexa bag is named for model/TV host Alexa Chung.
