Fidenza Village celebrates the Year of the Dragon

Fidenza Village, a luxury shopping village at about an hour's drive from Milan, Italy, is celebrating “Chinese New Year” in honour of international Chinese shoppers. A three-day welcoming ceremony will run from 21 January to 23 January, with surprises all week, and festivities continuing until 29 January 2012.

Fidenza Village can be reached using the Shopping Express – a luxury coach departing daily from Milan’s Piazza Castello 1 at 1 p.m., with return at 6 p.m. From 5 January until 29 January 2012, this service is free for those who register on the website: www.fidenzavillage.com. To get there by car, take motorway A1, and exit at the junction Fidenza/Salsomaggiore Terme.

Fidenza Village is open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Its exclusive boutiques include a range of luxury brands such as: Armani, Valentino, D&G, Calvin Klein Jeans, Brooks Brothers, Versace, Missoni, Marni, Trussardi Jeans, Gallo, Desigual, Vilebrequin, La Perla, Miss Bikini, Patrizia Pepe, Samsonite, Nike, Guess, Bikkembergs, Custo Barcelona, Frette, Furla, Camper, Pinko. For this special occasion, Fidenza Village offers visitors a celebrative Chinese New Year shopping experience. The entire village magically transforms for the occasion with Chinese lanterns lining the mall walkways, and traditional Chinese good luck Clementine Wish Trees at each entrance. The boutiques will mirror glamorous special effect window displays in celebration of the Year of the Dragon.

To inaugurate the festivities, each guest will be greeted during the entire three day Chinese New Year welcoming ceremonies by hostesses bilingual in Italian and Chinese distributing a special brochure (in Chinese, English, and Italian) with all the relative information, listing the festivities and promotions. A competition will be held to win a free round trip airline ticket to China. A spectacular costumed Chinese Dragon will be travelling throughout the Village adding magical Far East atmosphere.

To the delight of the true fashionista searching for collector items, many boutiques are offering limited edition products and specially designed showcase collections for Chinese New Year.

Those guests who spend who spend more than 50 euro at Fidenza Village will be offered several Chinese fortune cookies at the central dedicated kiosk and the chance to participate in a lottery for the main prize, a round trip airline ticket to China courtesy of Cathay Pacific, as well as Fidenza Village special gift shopping vouchers.
