NEW YORK CITY - New York Fashion Week went out with a boom yesterday for its last day of women’s Spring-Summer 2012 with Proenza Schouler, Michael Kors, Anna Sui, The Blonds and more. An undeniable throughline on Thursday's catwalks was the appearance of bold and colourful prints and patterns. We loved Michael Kors’ safari-inspired collection that had us envisioning a decadent African vacation for next summer. We were a bit dismal about the new collection from NYFW vanguard Proenza Schouler, the collection didn’t excite us, like past ones – but we did pick out one look we loved which of course used splashes of yellow and orange on a pop out print. Breakout sensation The Blonds (who count the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga as fans) presented a collection of glam playboy bunny outfits and over-the-top fantastical cocktail outfits. See more of our favourite looks on the LUXOS Fashion Blog and check out what’s next with our coverage of Milan Fashion Week.
