Resort 2012 is the collection where brands mix things up in their respective houses with more relaxed fashions in respect to their spring/summer and fall/winter lines. It is always interesting to see a creative director's take on the meaning of vacation threads and luxury loungewear. While Missoni does hippy chic flower child, Chanel keeps things classic and light with Gastby-esque inspired cocktail garments and their signature layered pearls - also of mention were boot-sandals that rose up to the knee creating a pant-like effect under skirts. Michael Kors played with neon pinks and lime greens for his scuba-inspired designs. Bottega Veneta was more about trenches and neutral tones while Oscar de la Renta's collection took us to a high fashion bull fight with cowgirl and matador inspired looks straight out of Seville. We loved how each model was sporting a cowboy hat or sombrero.
