Chopard, official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival and Italian shoe designer, Giuseppe Zanotti have created the world's most precious shoes.
The joint effort of Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, co-President of Chopard and Giuseppe Zanotti is a unique art piece. The result it a pair of pink satin stiletto heels at a height of 12.5 cm with and ankle strap adorned with 600 briolette-cut stones that include rubellites, pink sapphires, diamonds and rubies.
The shoes will be worn to the this year's amfAR gala by model Anja Rubik, who will also wear hoop earrings that match the jeweled shoes, which will then be auctioned tonight at the Cinema Against AIDS dinner on behalf of amfAR. As Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele explains, "This pair of shoes represents the expression of two artists at the peak of their profession, and a beautiful means for their future owner to support a noble cause.”
