"Alexander McQueen, Savage Beauty" is the name of a show at the Metropolitan Museum, running until 31 July 2011, dedicated to creations by one of the most talented and unorthodox fashion designers, who died in 2010. The exhibition highlights McQueen's Gothic touch that hallmarks his 19-year career, which spanned from 1992 to 2010. The show is divided into six sections, based on concepts such as mind, Gothic, nationalism, exoticism, primitivism and nationalism. "McQueen can justly be considered a great artist," said Thomas Campbell, director of the Metropolitan.

The show has an Italian component in the mannequins, manufactured by Bonaveri, a company located at Cento, near Ferrara.
