The Versace Jewellery boutique was officially opened on 10 December 2010 in Beijing. It is the third shop dedicated to Versace's Watch and Jewellery collections, after Rome and Dubai, and it is a result of the cooperation between Versace and Vertime. The latter is a Swiss company that manufactures and distributes Versace-branded luxury watches and jewellery worldwide. Vertime is controlled by Timex Group, a company with a leadership position in the watch sector, and with over 150 years of experience.

The new jewellery has a floor area of 80 square metres, inside China Central Place, a mall in Beijing dedicated to luxury shopping. The boutique expresses sophistication by means of its prestige furnishings, all designed and made specially for this store: bespoke furniture, walls finished in white enamel and black leather, large lightboxes, and recessed display cabinets.
The new boutique in Beijing confirms the importance of the Chinese market for the Versace brand.

Versace's CEO, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, said, "This boutique is part of our strategic development plans for China, a key market in which the company is enjoying constant and progressive growth. By the end of 2010, there will be a total of 67 Versace Boutiques in the Greater China area, some of which are directly owned by the company, and some of which are run by business partners. We look forward to seeing encouraging results by the end of the year. Numbers are looking good, and the most important factor is the fact that Versace has returned to growth in its core business, garments and accessories."

Paolo Marai, CEO of Vertime, said, "The opening of the Beijing boutique is another important step in our business strategy regarding the opening of monobrand jewelleries. 2011 will also be an important year for new openings of jewellery boutiques worldwide, which will enable us to present Versace-brand luxury products in the best possible way. I would like to thank Mr Richard Liu, exclusive distributor of Versace watches in China, and the fundamental partner for the implementation of this project of which we are particularly proud."
